In a move to deepen its partnership with Singapore Airlines (SIA), Alibaba announced on Tuesday a package deal that will see its Cainiao (logistics), Fliggy (travel), Alibaba Cloud (cloud computing) and Alipay (mobile payment) team up with the city-state’s flag carrier.

Fliggy, Alibaba’s OTA unit, entered into a mileage points-sharing scheme with SIA, transferring Fliggy membership to KrisFlyer tiers and allowing KrisFlyer members use miles to book up flights and hotels on Fliggy.

Alibaba’s smart logistics arm Cainiao, also announced a strategic cooperation with SIA as Cainiao is aiming to build up global smart logistics network that delivers across China within 24 hours or globally within 72 hours.

Overall, Alibaba and SIA will be working together on multiple areas from flight tickets sales, international freight, cloud computing, membership interoperability to in-flight payment.
