Chinese search engine and internet giant Baidu (NASDAQ:BIDU) has signed a strategic cooperation deal with Gosuncn Technology Group Co.,Ltd (SHZ: 300098) to jointly roll out solutions in vehicle-infrastructure integration, smart signal control, Internet of Vehicles (IoV) and autonomous driving, according to a filing from Gosuncn on Tuesday.

In April, Gosuncn—a provider of IoV products and services, such as 5G communication chip modules and terminals— formed a strategic cooperation with Baidu’s rival WeRide, KrASIA reported. Under that partnership, WeRide plans to apply to its cars on a trial basis Gosuncn’s hardware, which would connect with the road-side devices and receive the traffic data from them.

Baidu and Gosuncn’s cooperation also follows Baidu’s announcement on the completion of Apollo Park located in Beijing on Tuesday. Covering an area of 13,500 square meters, the park features a testing base for its 200 autonomous driving vehicles and a research center.
