In the age of digitalization, social media is no longer an afterthought—it’s a necessity. Developing an effective social media strategy is pivotal in helping companies build their brand and grow. And a significant part of that strategy is content creation.

DashoContent saw this massive need and designed a platform to help businesses through its on-demand social media content service. Targeting e-commerce businesses and micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), the software-as-a-service (SAAS) platform provides fast and easy access to customized social media content.

According to its CEO, Fleire Castro, DashoContent is the only creative content agency in the Philippines that specializes in content development for social media platforms.

“A common pain point for MSMEs is their struggle to do everything by themselves, including social media content. This problem is exacerbated by a lack of knowledge, skills, or resources to create effective social media content,” she said.

Through the platform, clients no longer need to do social media copywriting themselves or source from digital marketing agencies, which may be costly and time consuming. This frees them up to focus on growing their business.

Clients are paired up with a creator, who produces social media copy tailored to their needs and target audience. On average, it takes about three to five business days to generate content for four posts, which includes royalty-free images.

Castro, who has 15 years of experience in the digital marketing industry, highlights the traceability of the content creation process on DashoContent. “We don’t just track the progress of a content request, we also make sure that the client will be able to preview the social media post before approval, including its anatomy, such as captions, graphics, and which platforms it will be used for,” she said.

“Our platform ensures that there is an audit trail and accountability. Clients can see different versions of the post as the creator works; anyone can backtrack and see the edit history. That’s how granular we go.”

While DashoContent generates social media content for clients, it does not manage their social media posts.

The basic subscription service starts from USD 100 for four content posts a month. Castro added that there are plans for the platform to widen its reach to the rest of the Philippines, and eventually Southeast Asia.

DashoContent was among the ten finalists of the Alibaba Cloud x KrASIA Global Startup Accelerator Philippines Demo Day that was held on February 8.
