Ampotech secures investment from Clime Capital for Southeast Asia expansion
Ampotech, a Singapore-based energy management solutions provider, has secured an undisclosed investment from Clime Capital, a fund manager dedicated to advancing the low-carbon transition.
The investment was made through Clime Capital’s Southeast Asia Clean Energy Fund II (SEACEF II) and will fuel Ampotech’s regional expansion, initially targeting Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
Ampotech’s platform integrates proprietary hardware, a data management system, and specialized applications to help commercial and industrial businesses optimize energy usage. The company claims its vertically integrated approach offers cost, performance, and cybersecurity advantages over off-the-shelf solutions. These benefits reportedly extend throughout a project’s lifecycle, allowing for flexible support and reconfiguration as customer needs evolve.
Nibertex raises pre-Series A funding to scale PFAS-free membrane production
Nibertex, a deep tech startup specializing in waterproof breathable membranes, has closed its pre-Series A funding round with backing from Foxmont Capital Partners, ADB Ventures, and regional family offices.
The company has developed PFAS-free electrospun polyurethane (ePU) membranes, addressing increasing global regulatory pressure to eliminate perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) from textiles. PFAS compounds, which have been linked to cancer and other health risks, are facing bans in multiple jurisdictions.
Nibertex plans to use the capital to scale production and expand into new market segments, including protective textiles, automotive ventilation, healthcare, and personal protective equipment. A portion of the funds will also support its preparations for a Series A round in 2025.
Yuwell Medical invests USD 27.2 million in Inogen
Yuwell Medical, a China-based manufacturer of home-use medical devices, has announced a strategic investment in Inogen, a US respiratory health company.
Through its Hong Kong subsidiary, Yuwell will invest USD 27.2 million in Inogen, acquiring a 9.9% stake in the company’s common stock. The deal sets the stage for collaboration in international distribution, R&D, trademark licensing, and supply chain optimization, leveraging both firms’ expertise in oxygen concentrator technology.
The investment was disclosed during a conference in Dubai, where Yuwell highlighted its ambitions for expanding its footprint in the global respiratory health market.
Accuron acquires controlling stake in Trymax
Accuron Technologies, a precision engineering and technology group, has acquired a controlling stake in Trymax Semiconductor Equipment, a Netherlands-based specialist in plasma- and UV-based process equipment for semiconductor manufacturers.
The transaction sees Trymax’s core executives, Leo Meijer and Ludo Vandenberk, along with private equity firm Pontex Investment Partners, as the key sellers. Post-acquisition, Meijer and Vandenberk will continue to lead the company, staying at the helm to drive its next phase of growth.
Alpha JWC Ventures prepares to raise its fourth fund
Alpha JWC Ventures, a Southeast Asian venture capital firm, is planning to raise its fourth fund as it celebrates its tenth anniversary.
With an estimated USD 645 million in assets under management and a portfolio of nearly 100 startups, the firm continues to focus on scaling high-impact businesses across Indonesia and the broader Asia Pacific region.
In addition to its fundraising plans, Alpha JWC Ventures has strengthened its leadership team with key hires:
- Ray Frederick Djajadinata, former CTO of Traveloka, has joined as a technology partner, with a focus on artificial intelligence and deep tech investments.
- Satria Situmorang, a former GoTo executive, has been appointed principal for value creation, tasked with optimizing the operations and scalability of portfolio companies.
- Wenyou Tan, based in Singapore, has joined Alpha JWC’s investment team to support the firm’s regional expansion.
The firm’s upcoming fund aims to back high-growth startups in deep tech, healthcare, and consumer products and services.

- fileAI, a Singapore-based enterprise artificial intelligence startup, raised USD 14 million in a Series A funding round co-led by Illuminate Financial, Antler Elevate, Insignia, and Heinemann Group.
- GOAT Gaming, a platform for competitive and casual gaming on Telegram, raised USD 4 million in funding. Key investors include TON Ventures, Karatage, Amber Group, and Bitscale Capital.
- Utsav, an Indian religion tech startup and platform, raised INR 63.5 million—around USD 730,000—in a pre-Series A funding round led by Equanimity Investments, with participation from India Quotient.
