Many startups in Southeast Asia solve local problems that may be unique to their home markets. Even so, entrepreneurs and investors make observations and formulate insights that could be applied in fresh contexts.

The only way for these lessons to be shared is by bringing together people with that knowledge, and then initiating exchanges.

Since September 2021, the Alibaba Cloud x KrASIA Global Startup Accelerator Demo Days have been a way to connect companies across Asia with investors so that their ideas could mingle.

The startups spanned many sectors, including robotics applied in the context of traditional Chinese medicine, gamified fitness, natural language processing in Bahasa Indonesia, and automated deep sea operational upkeep. These solutions were only a small segment of the diverse business plans that were presented by the 800+ applicants who sought to take part in the Demo Days.

Check out these video features of 20 startups that were part of this journey to find out how they are addressing problems that few others tried to tackle.

KrASIA will be organizing more Demo Days very soon. Stay tuned for our announcements about applying for a spot.
